Architectural Association of Ireland Awards - Adjudication 2014
Client: Architectural Association of Ireland
Role: Exhibition Designer
Overview
The Architectural Association of Ireland was founded in 1896 ‘to promote and afford facilities for the study of architecture and the allied sciences and arts, and to provide a medium of friendly communication between members and others interested in the progress of architecture’.
Now in its 29th year, the AAI organises the AAI awards to:
Encourage higher standards of architecture throughout the country.
Recognise projects which make a contribution to Irish architecture.
Inform the public of emerging directions in contemporary architecture.
This exhibition was set up in an old library space on the premises of the National Concert Hall of Ireland. A panel of five distinguished assessors were invited to make a broad selection of schemes which they believed made a contribution to Irish architecture.
