Steven McNamara is a spatial storyteller and the founder of ROJI.
I curate and create physical spaces and objects that tell a story. Whether exploring the craft of animation or how natural habitats are connected, I build environments that people can step inside and experience with all their senses.
Originally trained as an architect, my practice is rooted in making complex ideas accessible. I enjoy creating work that is engaging for children and adults alike, exploring challenging topics without over-simplification.
My goal is to create work that is genuinely inclusive and accessible to everyone.
Over the last decade, immersive exhibitions for clients like Cartoon Saloon, National Museum of Ireland, Butler Gallery and Design & Crafts Council Ireland have received critical acclaim from Wallpaper* Magazine, The New York Times and CNN Style.
A three-time IDI Exhibition Design of the Year winner, I remain an active part of the design community as an awards judge for the Institute of Designers in Ireland and as Design Project Manager for Irish Design Week with the Design & Crafts Council of Ireland.
