The hollow base is made from layered beech timber that has then been sandblasted to create a textured finish. The lid can be flipped around to reveal a concave surface for holding items that might otherwise roll off.

This item is from a collection of playful, functional forms called Hold. Each piece accommodates a different function while maintaining the same overall shape.
